My work combines techniques of hand milled patterning, openwork filigree and
fabrication. I try to "let the materials do the talking," creating objects
that reflect both color and personality. As the daughter of an orthodontist,
the late George Andreasen who is most noted for his invention of Memory
Wire, I began the study of metalsmithing at a very young age and worked
selling at Chicago area craft fairs. I have spent 25 years in the jewelry
trade from crafting to selling to designing. The act of making pieces that
should adorn the wearer and not wear the adorner is my main mission as a
designer.
